Green Lane Park will be hosting the Ninth Annual Scottish Irish Festival and Highland Games from Friday, September 5 through Sunday, September 7, 2008.  The event starts Friday night with an evening concert from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Saturday activities run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Scottish and Irish entertainment will be provided throughout both days, with performers including Bagpipe Bands, Irish dancers, Highland dancers, Fiddle players, Folklore interpreters, the Annual Green Lane Park Sheepdog Trials, Highland Games, Society for Creative Anachronisms, Celtic Face Painting, and much more.  Additionally, food vendors and merchants of authentic Scottish and Irish items will be on site.

The Annual Scottish Irish Festival and Highland Games continues our steady growth in popularity with the public.  The successful three-day event attracted well over 120,000 people in 2007.  We have received many e-mails and phone calls praising our efforts and the festival has become known as the “Jewel of Montgomery County.”

We hope to continue building on the strong community spirit we have achieved in our past several years of this event. 

This year we are asking for your group to sponsor this fabulous community event at the Piper/Dancer Level of $800. or the Highland Games level of $600. 

Your sponsorship will be listed on the festival website, in the program, on a company banner (you supply) on the festival grounds, and the Master of Ceremonies will mention your company by name on stage as a festival sponsor.  With your help we will be able to continue to bring this festival to the public at little or no cost.
